How do you apply?

To apply for a bursary, you must complete a Yorkshire Netball Bursary Scheme application form.

The application form is now closed and will reopen in February 2025

Please read the Yorkshire Netball Bursary Scheme policy before submitting an application

Each year there will be 3 submission windows – these will open on the first Monday in February, June, and October and will remain open for a period of 7 days.

To have the best chance of success, only apply for what you need and note it may not be possible, financially, to support all applications.

Who will decide if my application is successful?

The Yorkshire Netball Bursary Committee will meet to review all applications in context of the eligibility criteria, the extent of need, and available finances of Yorkshire Netball.

How will I know if I’ve been successful?

Successful applicants will be notified within 4 weeks of the application submission deadline. All decisions taken by the Yorkshire Netball Bursary Committee should be considered final. An opportunity to receive feedback will be provided to unsuccessful applicants, if requested within 10 days of receipt of an unsuccessful outcome.

If I’m successful, how will I receive the funds?

Depending on the nature of the expenses, funds will usually be paid directly to the named organisations’ bank account in a timely manner.

What are the conditions of the bursary?

Use of Funds – If you are successful, you must use the funds for the specified purposes outlined in your application. If this condition is contravened, you will be barred from applying to the Yorkshire Netball Bursary Scheme for a minimum period of 12 months and Yorkshire Netball can request a return of the funds provided.

Reporting -  Successful applicants will be required to provide a brief report on how the funds were used and contributed to improving access to and/or growth in Netball across the region. The format and deadline of the brief report will be agreed between the successful applicant and the Yorkshire Netball Bursary Committee.

Publicity – successful applicants may be asked to participate in promotional activities to share their experiences and the benefits of the Yorkshire Netball bursary scheme. This activity will be agreed between the successful applicant and Yorkshire Netball.
